Which units are currently taking referrals in Stellic?

For Fall 2024, we focused on onboarding those groups who work most closely with first-year students. Most of the users who are actively taking referrals are located in schools that have first-year students, though a few other central units are also prepared to be active system users. While not all offices are currently available for referrals, this list will evolve as we continue implementing Stellic at UVA.

How do I use the group names in the list below?

In the Notes interface in Stellic, in the box labeled "Referred To" just start typing the name of the group, and options will appear in the list. The group names were written with a consistent naming convention in mind, so they should be easy to find as you work.

Student Affairs and Provost Units Available for Referrals

Various student support units are currently accepting referrals via Stellic. This list will continue to grow in the coming months. Presently, you can refer to any of the following groups in Stellic:

  • Office of African-American Affairs 

  • Care and Support Services – The full group name is Care and Support Services (CASS) Referrals and Concerns. These referrals will be captured by designated staff and assigned to the appropriate staff member. Please do not send referrals to individual CASS staff.

  • Office of Citizen Scholar Development – The Office of Citizen Scholar Development is home to fellowships & undergraduate research. Most referrals should be made to the appropriate session of our Fellowships & Undergraduate Research Series. Referrals in Stellic will be assigned to staff or redirected as appropriate. Please do not send referrals to individual office staff.

  • Hoos First — The full group name is Hoos First (FGLI Support).

  • Pre-Health Advisors — UVA Career Center Pre-Health advisors. The rest of the Career Center is not yet taking referrals.

Schools Not Yet Available in Stellic - How to Refer

College of Arts and Sciences - Information about Referrals

College Advising Deans are not taking referrals in Stellic at this time. Please continue to refer students to their Advising Dean by email or phone. If you are not sure who a students' dean is, please call 434-924-3351 or write to [email protected] Each students’ dean is also visible in the Success Team box on a student’s profile in Stellic.

College Advising Fellows, a new team that advises with pre-major students, are not taking referrals in Stellic at this time. Please email the students’ advisor if you need to contact them. Each students’ advisor is also visible in the Success Team box on a student’s profile in Stellic.

McIntire School of Commerce - Current Status

McIntire School advisors are not yet taking referrals in Stellic. We are focused on first-year students in the fall of 2024; As this school does not enroll first-years in their degree programs, they will wait till spring 2025 to become active users of Stellic.

Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy - Current Status

Batten School advisors are not yet taking referrals in Stellic. We are focused on first-year students in the fall of 2024; As this school does not enroll first-years in their degree programs, they will wait till spring 2025 to become active users of Stellic.
