When do I start using Stellic?

First-year students in Engineering are currently using Stellic, and all other first-year students will gain access in October 2024. The Stellic project team is working with schools to identify advisors who work closely with first-year students, especially those who work in central school offices or are assigned academic advisors for first-year students. These faculty and staff are being prioritized for onboarding as Stellic users.

Additional faculty and staff advisors in schools, Student Affairs, and other central units can expect to start using Stellic in the spring or summer of 2025.

How can I receive Stellic Training?

To prepare for the release of Stellic, advisors will complete the 'Stellic for Advisors Learning Program'. This training program includes asynchronous modules that provide a broad overview of the platform and a synchronous workshop in which participants will gain hands-on experience using the tools for course planning and advising work.  Each portion of the training is detailed below:

Asynchronous Modules

These modules are available in Workday Learning and must be completed PRIOR to the second part of the training, the in-person workshop.

  1. Introduction to Stellic
  2. Course Planning Tools
  3. Advising Tools
  4. Utilization Features
  5. FERPA
  6. Request for Access

In-Person Workshop

Upon completion of the asynchronous modules, advisors can select a date for the workshop portion of the program through Workday.  Advisors should bring a laptop as the session will be interactive.

When can I access training?

Advisors will receive an email invitation with directions for completing the training based on consultation with school/unit leadership teams. Advisors who support first-year students will be prioritized through October 2024. Other advisors will be trained prior to the February release for second, third, and fourth-year students.  If you are interested in early access to Stellic, you may email [email protected]
